Finding accurate information on bad breath and tonsil stones online can be difficult, particularly when searching for the correct treatments.  What many people do not realize is that many traditional treatments such as Listerine mouthwash can do more harm than good. It was for this reason that this website was created in order to help you receive the correct information about how you should and shouldn’t attempt to cure bad breath and tonsil stones.  For a brief overview of each read below.

Bad Breath

In order to cure bad breath it is important to understand what actually causes it. 99% of the time bad breath originates in the oral cavity (the mouth). In every persons mouth there are millions of bacteria whose job is to help digestion by breaking down food particles. As the bacteria carries out this process, sulfur compounds are excreted as a bi-product.  This is a perfectly natural part of digestion, however, some people have an excess of bacteria in the mouth and therefore create too much sulfur compounds. It is this sulfur that causes the bad smelling odor. Find out more about what causes bad breath, how to diagnose it, how many people have it and more by clicking here.

Tonsil Stones

Tonsil Stones, or Tonsilloiths to give them their true medical name, are small white lumps created in the tonsils. They form in the tonsil crypts and are made from a combination of food particles, mucous, dead bacteria and sulfur compounds. They are also partly responsible for bad breath and the two conditions will often occur together. Breaking a tonsil stone open will reveal the terrible odor which they create.
